James Chu

Chairman and CEO

James Chu is the founder, chairman, and CEO of ViewSonic Corporation, a leading global provider of visual solutions. Mr. Chu held a variety of sales positions before immigrating to the United States in 1986 to become the president of US operations at a Taiwanese keyboard manufacturer.

In 1987, Mr. Chu launched Keypoint Technology Corporation, a distribution company specializing in computer peripherals, and introduced the ViewSonic brand of computer monitors in 1990. In 1993, Mr. Chu renamed the company “ViewSonic” to emphasize its mission and focus: developing and delivering advanced visual display products. In 1998, ViewSonic became the largest independent monitor brand in the US. In 2016, ViewSonic expanded its product line with the introduction of ViewBoard interactive displays and the myViewBoard software ecosystem.

Under Mr. Chu’s leadership, ViewSonic’s distinct brand image featuring three colorful finches has become a widely recognized symbol of innovation, quality, and value. Mr. Chu is committed to establishing a dynamic, entrepreneurial business environment. His visionary approach to corporate culture and his insistence on treating every employee as a business partner are key to ViewSonic’s continuous growth.

Bonny Cheng

Chief Operating Officer

Bonny Cheng is the chief operating officer of ViewSonic Corporation. Ms. Cheng oversees product design, R&D, manufacturing, and global sales and marketing. Her mission is to effectively align resources with strategic corporate initiatives, ensure operational excellence, and inspire the organization to deliver outstanding products and services.

Ms. Cheng began her career as a purchasing agent over 30 years ago. Her proactive sourcing and excellent negotiation skills helped ViewSonic diversify its product portfolio, mitigate risk through supply diversification, and increase profitability. Promoted to general manager in 2009, Ms. Cheng spearheaded ViewSonic’s new flagship product category—large format displays. Six years later, Ms. Cheng was appointed president of ViewSonic’s global product group, responsible for product development worldwide and external communications. In 2019, Ms. Cheng was promoted to chief operating officer to guide the company in business opportunities and increase growth. In her current role, she leads the company through organizational and team development, process improvement, innovative product development, strategic relationship building, and business expansion.

Sung Yi

Chief Financial Officer

Sung Yi serves as chief financial officer for ViewSonic Corporation. He has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of accounting roles with ViewSonic as well as corporations such as Unocal (now owned by Chevron Corporation) and Newegg Inc. Yi oversees all aspects of global finance including accounting, financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and cash management. Yi is also the global team leader of Corporate Legal, HR and IT.

Prior to this role, Yi served as vice president and corporate controller for ViewSonic Global. Yi has also held several other finance positions with increasing levels of responsibility for more than 20 years with ViewSonic. Yi earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from USC, an MBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount, and is a certified public accountant.

Jeff Volpe

President, ViewSonic Americas

Jeff Volpe currently serves as president of ViewSonic Americas. In this role, Volpe oversees strategic business planning, sales and marketing, operations, and logistics for the region. Focused on business transformation and a dedication to solutions development, Volpe has led ViewSonic Americas to better support its customers and business partners for today and tomorrow.

Looking to the future with a new view that now encompasses remote work and distance learning, Volpe ensures that ViewSonic can enable people to connect, collaborate and educate with its display solutions. Preceding his current role, Volpe served as vice president of Global Brand and Emerging Technologies for ViewSonic where he led global brand image development and messaging, and was responsible for pursuing new technology opportunities.

Additional roles with ViewSonic have included vice president of marketing, Americas; vice president of sales Americas; vice president of the Business Products Division; and senior director for Canada. Volpe came to ViewSonic in January 1996 from Citizen America Corporation, where he was the Canadian regional sales manager responsible for the sales and customer management of computer printer products. Prior to that, he was manager of Indirect Sales Channels for Epson Canada Limited.

Brian Igoe

Sr. Vice President, Sales ViewSonic Americas

As the Vice President of U.S. Sales for ViewSonic Corporation, Brian Igoe is responsible for the sales of the company’s visual display products across all channels in the United States. Since joining ViewSonic in 1995, Igoe has held a number of positions, including vice president of the consumer products division. He also served as manager of the Northeast and North Central sales divisions, as well as the manager of both external and internal sales representatives. During this tenure, Igoe helped increase revenue within these divisions from $8.5 million to over $400 million annually.

Prior to ViewSonic, Igoe held several positions in the computer industry, including district sales representative, Micro America/ Merisel: mid-Atlantic manager, Microware Distribution; and eastern regional sales manager, Citizen Printer Corporation.

Sally Wang

Vice President, Product and Marketing

A 30-year veteran in the display industry, Sally Wang is the Vice President of Product and Marketing for ViewSonic Americas. Her product responsibilities span the company’s four major categories: ViewBoard interactive flat panels, large format commercial displays, projectors, and monitors. On the marketing side, Wang oversees digital marketing, marketing communication, channel marketing, PR, and trade shows. She also works closely with ViewSonic’s global product development team, ensuring the company brings the best price-performance solutions to customers in the American regions.

Prior to joining ViewSonic, Wang worked at the Johnson & Johnson international Taiwan office as a product manager for its oral care, wound care, and feminine care product categories. Wang graduated from Cornell University with an MBA.
