ViewSonic Reaffirms Commitment to the ProAV Market with the Launch of its Pro8 Series Projectors

ViewSonic expands projector line with new Pro8520HD and Pro8600 with features including 1080p, 6000 lumens, 3D ready and remote networking capabilities

WALNUT, Calif. – 5 de marzo de 2013 – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of computing, consumer electronics and communications solutions, introduces two new models to its Pro8 high bright, high-res installation projector line today – including the Pro8520HD and Pro8600 – making for a total of seven series models to choose from.

“Worldwide high brightness DLP® projector shipments have doubled over the past three years. Additionally, we have recently seen rapid growth in the demand for 1080p models,” said Roger Chien, product manager for ViewSonic. “ViewSonic has pinpointed and responded quickly to these trends by releasing our newest Full HD 1080p Pro8520HD model, and expanding our ProAV lineup to give customers the greatest market selection.”

Designed for ProAV and commercial B2B installation markets, these new DLP models pair high brightness (5000 ANSI lumens – Pro8520HD; 6000 ANSI lumens – Pro8600), BrilliantColor™ technology and an 15,000:1 contrast ratio for vivid, bright images. The Pro8520HD offers Full HD 1920x1080 high definition crystal clear resolution, while the Pro8600 has an XGA 1024x768 native resolution, with 120Hz image frequency and DLP Link 3D ready technology for 3D projection. Both models are perfect even for high ambient light environments common to commercial spaces such as retail stores, restaurants, houses of worship and larger boardrooms. Furthermore, extensive connectivity offerings such as dual HDMI (single HDMI for Pro8600), RGB, S-Video, RJ45 and plug ‘n play USB display make for quick and easy install.

Both the Pro8520HD and Pro8600 integrate Crestron RoomView®/AMX and PJ-Link management software that enables the devices to remotely manage multiple projectors through a LAN connection for efficient maintenance. Add the ability to simultaneously display up to four different images from separate PCs on a single screen, optional wireless display[1], a wide 1.5x optical zoom lens, and built-in 20W speakers and the Pro8520HD and Pro8600 are ready for any multimedia challenge. Paired with a filter-less design and long lamp life, the Pro8 series provides for virtually zero maintenance and low total cost of ownership (TCO).
