ViewSonic Enhances SC-T25 Citrix HDX™ Pi Thin Client with Enterprise-Grade NoTouch™ Software from Stratodesk

Also Announces Support for “Skype for Business” Audio/Video Conferencing

Brea, CA (May 23, 2017) – ViewSonic, Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions products, today announced a major software platform update to their innovative SC-T25 “HDX Pi” thin client. Effective June 1st, the SC-T25 will begin shipping with the Stratodesk® NoTouch™ OS through View Sonic’s network of channel partners.

ViewSonic partnered with the Raspberry Pi Foundation and virtualization industry leader Citrix Systems, Inc, last year to introduce the first Raspberry Pi 3 based thin client to the market at an extremely attractive price point. Today’s announcement of the new Stratodesk platform brings with it a host of additional features, including “Skype for Business” support for audio and video conferencing, as well as the ability to add optional features including Single Sign-On and dual monitor support. One of the most economical VDI products available today, the SC-T25 meets computing and security needs for enterprise accounts, delivering a full desktop experience ideal for industries such as healthcare and finance.

This third-generation Raspberry Pi 3 thin client offers a great combination of performance, versatility and affordability. Engineered with Pi 3 core specifications, the ViewSonic SC-T25 is powered by a Broadcom® 64-bit quad-core ARM processor. Wireless LAN and Bluetooth networking support, 1GB memory and HDMI® video output provide connectivity to support nearly any workload.

“ViewSonic has worked closely with Citrix to deliver a solution that is highly optimized for HDX technology. The combination of the SC-T25, superior 2D/3D graphics for high-definition computing, and the latest Citrix real-time media engine makes this a compelling solution for the enterprise.” Said Chris Fleck vice president, Emerging Solutions at Citrix Systems.

“By integrating Stratodesk’s NoTouch software into our SC-T25 HDX Pi, ViewSonic is able to deliver an ultra-high performance, yet highly configurable solution that delivers global deployment across the enterprise.” said Erik Willey, product marketing director at ViewSonic. “This provides for a very cost-effective delivery of virtual workspace computing power, security and scalability.”

“The Stratodesk NoTouch operating system and management solution provides a highly secure environment for your Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop environment,” said Emanuel Pirker, CEO of Stratodesk Corp. Within the Stratodesk environment, you can set NoTouch to automatically discover and provision your clients to display a login prompt for your end users to go directly to a desktop or published app. You can also add Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop published resources to the NoTouch start menu, or use the included browser to point directly to your Citrix Web interface. Customers that have previously purchased an SC-T25 thin client will be eligible for a free upgrade to Stratodesk NoTouch, along with one year of software maintenance and support."

ViewSonic’s SC-T25 is now shipping with an ESP of $99.99.
