ViewSonic Unveils vTouch to Facilitate Touch for macOS

Mac users can now enjoy gesture control and touch on all ViewSonic TD series touch monitors for greater productivity
Brea, CA (November 24th, 2020) –ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, today announced that the new vTouch™ driver for ViewSonic® TD series touch monitors now enables macOS touch and gesture controls. Mac users can enjoy the full benefits of ViewSonic’s TD series for greater productivity through intuitive controls.
“With the launch of our new vTouch driver, Mac users are empowered to interact with their devices in a whole new way. Until we launched this software, users were limited by the macOS to single-touch functionality (at best) on external monitors,” says Phong Phanel, Marketing Manager at ViewSonic. “But now, users can access the full range of touch and gesture controls for Mac devices on external touch monitors for greater productivity.”
TD Series users can easily install ViewSonic’s vTouch driver by downloading it from ViewSonic’s website. This new driver works across the entire TD series and, once installed, Mac users can enjoy full multi-touch functionality on extended monitors while running macOS. In addition, the driver supports multi-touch on macOS and similar functions to the Mac trackpad.
ViewSonic’s TD series touchscreen monitors boast a compact form factor and clean design, allowing them to seamlessly integrate into your workflow. Resistive touch, optical touch and capacitive touch monitors each offer unique benefits for various application scenarios.
