“For the VX2475Smhl-4K quite honestly we’re torn. For the monitor itself it may be too advanced for Europe right now to take advantage of its full potential with the lack of viewable content. For gamers yes absolutely. 4K resolution is already here for games like GTA V where it enhances the immersive gaming experience of the open world. For movies, TV and console games you can’t reach higher than 1080p so it makes the added expense of 4K hard to justify as an early adopter.
Perhaps the best way to decide if the VX2475Smhl-4K is right for you would be a simple question. If you need to buy a monitor now would you be happy to need to buy another in a year because it’s not 4K compatible? As consumers we like the idea of saving a few pounds and buying a perfectly fine 1080p monitor, but knowing that its expiration date is approaching fast isn’t something that sits well.
The VX2475Smhl-4K is a solid monitor. It does have a few minor issues like Polo shaped buttons that hurt your fingers during setup sessions and a heavier weight than its 1080p friends but as a 4K display device it’s a solid contender that does its job without complaining. 9.9/10”
