Troubleshoot UNIVERSE LTI 1.3 Tool Error Messages

1.1 Common reasons for encountering this error message "Error: Please contact your administrator to confirm the setting of relevant authentication".


  • Security Concern 
    To ensure a more stable experience for users, we have implemented some information security measures. Your environment may have some potential risks, and therefore, your access has been rejected by the system. If you continue to encounter this issue after attempting to reinstall, please report it to us.

  • Admin did not allow UNIVERSE LTI 1.3 tool to access your assignment in UNIVERSE Manager.


  • User’s role is not the same in LMS and UNIVERSE. 
    You need to have the same identity in both your LMS and UNIVERSE due to permission restrictions, in order to use this tool.

  • Using a student account is required to submit an assignment. 
    We only provide permission to answer assignments to users with student status.

  • User does not paste the correct link from the same organization. 
    Please double-check that the organization of the assignment you copied from UNIVERSE Manager is consistent with that of your LMS organization.

  • User does not paste the correct link of the Deployment ID.

2. Error message when using Schedule Tool:

2.1 Common reasons for encountering this error message “Permission denied: You do not have permission to access this tool, please contact your administrator.”


  • User is not in this organization 
    The user has not been added to the organization in UNIVERSE. Please check with your organization administrator for assistance.

  • User declines the authorization
    You have denied access to UNIVERSE. Please try again and grant authorization.
