An all-in-one cost- effective alternative to the traditional custom-made video walls, the 135-inch LD135-151 and 163-inch LD163-181 are designed to make an impactful impression in a variety of environments, including lobbies and boardrooms. These two direct view models are designed for professional-grade, 24/7 operation in large venues where effective messaging via digital signage is required.



As an all-in-one display solution, the ViewSonic® LD135-151 and LD163-181 seamlessly deliver content without lines or distortion for one continuous and smooth image, leading the viewer to be completely immersed in the message. These direct view LED displays are composed of one main cabinet and multiple panels for easy installation. When installed, each individual panel auto-configures and calibrates its location and setting values within the display as a singular unit. Savoy Foundation Virtual Event Raises $100,000 to Benefit Caterina’s Club to feed 100,000 Homeless Children

ViewSonic donated the remaining funds needed to reach the $100,000 goal that benefits Caterina’s Club, which has made it its mission to feed more than 5,000 meals a week to homeless and motel children in Orange County.



“ViewSonic has been a supporter of Caterina’s Club for seven years and has donated cash and thousands of pounds of pasta each year during the annual pasta drive. One in five children are at risk of hunger each month in Orange County and those numbers have increased with the onset of COVID-19,” said Jeff Volpe, President, Americas, ViewSonic Corporation. “This devastating virus is hitting the less fortunate hard and children even harder. As California schools have shut down, and many children miss their daily lunch, which sometimes, is their only hot meal of the day, it is more important than ever for the community to come together to ensure these children are fed. We were pleased to take part in the American Foundation of Savoy Orders virtual fundraiser and ensure that it reached its goal. This benefits the children of our community through a long-time partner of ours, Caterina’s Club.”

In response to the devastating impact of COVID-19, the American Foundation of Savoy Orders re-launched its third West Coast spring charity gala -Notte di Savoia Los Angeles - into a virtual fundraising event benefiting Caterina’s Club. The event raised $100,000 through its generous members, friends, and supporters. The Savoy Foundation, through its “Chivalry for Children's Causes™" mission, is committed to sustaining children's charities, especially during this devastating pandemic.

ViewSonic Holds “ColorPro Award Global Photography Contest” to Highlight the Spirit of Kindness

The theme of the contest is “kindness,” and everyone is welcome to submit photos from August 18-30, 2020, to demonstrate what kindness means to them. The top prize includes a ColorPro VP2785-2K professional display and a package of photography tools. ViewSonic Donates 300 Raspberry Pi Thin Clients to Los Angeles County Alliance for Boys and Girls Clubs

BREA, CA (August 6, 2020) – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of display solution products, in partnership with United Way, has donated 300 Raspberry Pi Thin Client devices to the Los Angeles County Alliance for Boys and Girls Clubs under the Empowering Future Generations initiative. The Empowering Future Generations initiative is designed to identify and support schools and organizations in need of technology resources for programs such as STEM and STEAM labs, SCALE-UP classrooms, robotics workshops and esports clubs.

Klicher Sanhueza es profesor en la Escuela Preuniversitaria Gauss desde 2011. Sanhueza, que tiene un máster en Educación de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile, ha dedicado su carrera profesional a dar clases privadas y a preparar a sus alumnos para la PSU (Prueba de Selección Universitaria). Además de enseñar Matemática y Física a alumnos de escuela primaria, Sanhueza también imparte clases de Cálculo, Álgebra y Estadística a alumnos de Ingeniería Civil y Comercial.

Descripción general

Problema

En respuesta al COVID-19, Chile comenzó a implementar distintas medidas diseñadas para lentificar la propagación de la enfermedad, como el distanciamiento social, la cuarentena y el cierre de escuelas, comercios y restaurantes. Aunque Sanhueza siempre había impartido clases privadas en persona, las nuevas restricciones impuestas en Chile lo obligaron a adaptarse. Como la enseñanza era una parte fundamental de su sustento económico, dejar de dar clases no era una opción. En marzo de 2020, Sanhueza decidió reinventar su proceso de enseñanza con las clases en línea.

Solución

Aunque Sanhueza conocía las pantallas interactivas ViewSonic® y el software myViewBoard™, nunca había pensado en trabajar con estas herramientas antes del COVID-19. Pero dado que Sanhueza necesitaba productos que le permitieran dar sus clases en línea con la misma efectividad de sus clases presenciales, decidió invertir en productos de ViewSonic.

El 15 de marzo de 2020, Sanhueza compró una pantalla interactiva ViewSonic ViewBoard® IFP7550 de 65 pulgadas con una resolución 4K Ultra HD y pantalla táctil inmersiva de 20 puntos para usarla junto con Zoom Pro y con el software educativo myViewBoard™ de ViewSonic, a fin de poder dar clases en forma remota.

Resultado

Para Sanhueza, comprar la pantalla interactiva fue una de las mejores inversiones que podía haber hecho. Antes de la pandemia, este profesor pasaba horas viajando para encontrarse con sus alumnos. Pero, con las clases virtuales, puede encontrarse con ellos al instante. Ahora, en lugar de perder tiempo en el tránsito, Sanhueza puede dedicarle más tiempo a su familia en Peñalolén.

Gracias a la pantalla interactiva ViewBoard IFP6550 y al software myViewBoard, la calidad de sus clases también cambió significativamente.

“Durante las clases presenciales, los niños interrumpían para ir al baño o buscar comida. No estaban motivados y hacían cualquier cosa para evitar la clase. En cambio, con las clases remotas, dado que los niños son nativos digitales, sienten que están en un entorno familiar y se entusiasman con todas las herramientas de myViewBoard. La interactividad hace que estén todo el tiempo prestando atención; no piden permiso para ir al baño ni se sienten desmotivados. Los alumnos que tenían dos horas de clase empezaron a pedirme cuatro, y los que tenían una hora por semana ahora piden dos”, dice Sanhueza.

La interactividad que ofrecen la pantalla y el software myViewBoard entusiasmó tanto a los alumnos que muchos pidieron que las clases continuaran durante las vacaciones de invierno (esto nunca le había pasado a Sanhueza durante sus 15 años de carrera docente).

Con myViewBoard, Sanhueza puede enviar a los alumnos y a los padres los códigos QR que vinculan todo el trabajo hecho durante una clase para que los alumnos puedan repasarlo y los padres puedan ver exactamente qué se les enseñó a sus hijos.

Sanhueza cree que, una vez que termine la pandemia, al menos, el 80 % de sus clases continuarán siendo remotas. Una de las razones principales por seguir con las clases remotas es que la pantalla interactiva IFP6550 y el software myViewBoard le permiten llamar la atención de los alumnos y adaptarse fácilmente a su estilo de aprendizaje, ya sea auditivo, cinestésico o visual.

“Los alumnos tienen distintos modos de aprender, algunos lo hacen con la ayuda de sonido, otros con el tacto o en forma visual. Las clases en persona son más bien explicativas, pero las virtuales son más vivenciales. Yo soy el intermediario entre el conocimiento y el alumno; es una clase constructiva en la que trabajamos juntos”, explica Sanhueza.

Sin embargo, al principio, no a todos los estudiantes les gustaba la idea de tener clases privadas virtuales. "Había un pequeño que deseaba tener clases presenciales porque, supuestamente, no iban a gustarle las virtuales, y le dije que probáramos. Lo hicimos y ahora está fascinado; tiene dos clases por semana”, dice Sanhueza.

Para Sanhueza, las respuestas a sus clases privadas virtuales fueron tan positivas que ahora está usando la pantalla interactiva IFP6550 y myViewBoard para su clases en la Escuela Gauss. Problema

Deloitte (Uruguay) quería modernizar sus salas de conferencias, de capacitación y de reuniones.

Buscaban una solución moderna para reemplazar el antiguo proyector de su sala de juntas y una manera de actualizar las salas destinadas a la capacitación, a fin de ofrecer a sus empleados una experiencia de capacitación más integral. Deloitte Uruguay también quería crear un centro de innovación en el que los empleados pudieran trabajar, interactuar y probar las últimas tecnologías.

Solución

Los representantes de Soluciones en Sistemas de Información (SSI Ltda.), una empresa
que se especializa en tecnología y comunicación, le presentó a Deloitte Uruguay
las pantallas interactivas ViewSonic.

Deloitte Uruguay buscaba que sus nuevas pantallas tuvieran una alta resolución, dado que sus antiguos proyectores no mostraban las imágenes en buena calidad. Las nuevas pantallas también debían tener el brillo suficiente para que se vieran bien en una sala oscura.

Aunque los antiguos proyectores de Deloitte Uruguay no eran interactivos, contar con la interactividad de las nuevas pantallas rápidamente se convirtió en algo imprescindible para la empresa.

“Obtuvimos beneficios que antes no teníamos: la interactividad en las presentaciones. Así el presentador puede trabajar de manera muy sencilla. Y, además, la colaboración para que los participantes también puedan interactuar entre ellos”, destacó Rafael Charquero, del Departamento de TI de Deloitte Uruguay.

Deloitte compró cuatro pantallas interactivas ViewSonic IFP50 ViewBoard® que incluyen dos paneles de 75 pulgadas, uno de 65 pulgadas y uno de 55 pulgadas, así como dos soportes (VB-STND-001).

Cada pantalla tiene una resolución 4K Ultra-HD y una pantalla táctil inmersiva de 20 puntos. El equipo se dividió de la siguiente manera: una IFP7550 se instaló en la sala de juntas, la otra IFP7550 se instaló en la sala de capacitación, una IFP6550 se instaló en la sala de conferencias y la IFP5550 se instaló en el espacio de co-working.

Resultado

Los ejecutivos y empleados de Deloitte Uruguay estaban entusiasmados con las pantallas interactivas, ya que les permitía hacer una transición y dejar de usar proyectores antiguos de baja resolución para comenzar a utilizar pantallas interactivas de vanguardia que fomentan el trabajo en equipo.

“Buscábamos nuevas herramientas que nos permitieran innovar en nuestra forma de trabajo para hacerlo más dinámico, productivo y eficiente. Tenemos muchos usuarios distintos dentro de la empresa y, con esta solución de ViewSonic, podemos satisfacer las necesidades de todos, desde los miembros de la junta hasta los usuarios más jóvenes, como aquellos que usan las salas destinadas a capacitación o los espacios de co-working”, destacó Rafael Charquero.

En cuanto a la instalación, no hubo contratiempos, y los directivos de la empresa estuvieron satisfechos con la capacitación ofrecida por el proveedor de los equipos sobre cómo usar las pantallas.
