Brea, Calif. ( 23 de noviembre de 2016) – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, announces that ViewSonic held an employee auction where 100 percent of the profits went to local Orange County-based charities. The company conducted a match program for all money raised by employees. Donation recipients included Paw Prints in the Sand, Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC), and Catrina’s Club.

“ViewSonic prides itself in supporting our local community, and knowing our employees enthusiastically participated in this auction to raise funds, which were then donated in its entirety, is remarkable,” said Jeff Volpe, president of ViewSonic Americas. “As a company we were happy to match the money raised by employees to ensure we could help sustain these noteworthy charities and their mission.”

Shaheen Husain, director of corporate relations at CHOC stated, “We’d like to thank ViewSonic for choosing CHOC as one of their charities. We have a basic mission, to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of children. Being based in Orange County, we continuously work hard to assist children in the local community regardless of their family’s need to pay, so we appreciate these funds that can help us provide ongoing services.”

“It was an honor to be selected by ViewSonic as one of their charities of choice to which to donate,” stated Kelly Reeves, president and co-founder of Paw Prints in the Sand. “We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need. This donation will help us achieve our goal of decreasing shelter overpopulation, ending needless euthanization, and placing more homeless pets into loving forever homes. It is incredibly helpful, and we are truly grateful.”

“We are delighted that ViewSonic has recognized the valuable work being performed by Caterina’s Club by making this donation,’ said Sir Bruno Serato, founder of Caterina’s Club. “We rely heavily on the generosity of the private sector to help us fulfill our mission of serving those in need. We hope that others will follow in their footsteps so that we can better meet the needs of our communities.”

About Caterina's Club

Sir Bruno Serato established Caterina's Club, which is named for his beloved mother, after the 2 visited a local Boys and Girls Club and saw a 7-year-old boy eating a bag of potato chips. When Caterina learned that the snack was all he had for dinner, she instructed her son to head back to the restaurant and feed the children pasta. Today the nonprofit feeds some 2,000 children daily and well over one million meals have been served as the need keeps growing. His influence has extended far beyond Southern California to include Chicago, New York, Texas, Mexico and Italy. Not content to merely feed these families, Serato has extended his mission by moving many of the “motel families” into permanent housing. He has helped hundreds of families escape motel living by finding them apartments of their own and their lives have improved considerably. For more information, visit www.caterinasclub.org.
