Getting young people immersed in technology as soon as possible, and confident in using that technology, is extremely important.

The partnership with ViewSonic and Intel in the Virtual Learning Lab allows the colleagues to develop a number of different approaches to explore innovative pedagogies using appropriate technologies and it allows us to use different types of learning spaces to collaborate with students learning both on campus and off campus.

Teachers are really pleased with technology because they find it intuitive. They don’t have to think too hard about how to use things and that’s incredibly important for teachers where time is very precious.

The myViewBoard software suite with the Whiteboard feature offers an infinite canvas for interactive and uninterrupted lessons. All class contents can be easily shared with students while making those learning remotely feel as if they were in the same classroom. Teachers can also securely save and store all materials in the cloud, giving absent participants a convenient opportunity to catch up and remain up to date. The students simply scan a QR code to gain access to homework and class contents.

Schloss Heessen chose to equip each classroom with a ViewBoard 50-3 interactive display that would combine with myViewBoard Whiteboard software to provide teachers with a digital canvas that would allow them to continue to teach using the methods they know while also providing a plethora of new ways to engage with modern learners. After the installation was complete, various training sessions were offered to teaching staff and IT admin to ensure a smooth transition and that both the hardware and software was working to elevate the learning experience and helping the school meet its goals.
