ViewSonic Releases 2024 ESG Report

Leading the Charge in Innovation, Sustainability, and Community Impact

London, UK (July 10, 2024) – ViewSonic Corp, a leading global provider of visual solutions, has released its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, covering the 2023 fiscal year. This report not only chronicles a year of advancements in product innovation, environmental sustainability, employee relations, and community engagement but also underscores ViewSonic's unwavering commitment to delivering a positive social impact.

In 2023, ViewSonic's transformation from a hardware-centric business to a leader in integrated hardware, software, and service solutions earned industry accolades, underscoring the company’s digital transformation initiatives and its success in fostering an outstanding workplace environment. This transformation has propelled ViewSonic to leadership positions in the global interactive display and portable monitor markets. Mirroring this growth, the myViewBoard user base has expanded to over 10.5 million worldwide. Solidifying its leadership in the EdTech industry, ViewSonic has introduced its ClassSwift interactive learning platform and TeamOne software solutions.

ViewSonic went above and beyond mandatory compliance requirements in 2023, proactively adopting additional measures to ensure the company's products and operations set new benchmarks in environmental and social governance standards. The company reinforced its environmental sustainability commitments by pledging to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. To support these ambitious goals, ViewSonic expanded its product take-back service to over ten countries, reducing electronic waste and promoting sustainable practices globally. Additionally, all tier 1 suppliers were certified to ISO 14001, ensuring high environmental standards across the supply chain. These efforts, validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024, affirm ViewSonic’s dedication to sustainability.

Through impactful initiatives, ViewSonic uplifted global communities and advanced digital equity. As part of its Ecosystem-as-a-Service (EaaS) initiative, over 1,500 training sessions and workshops have been conducted as of 2023, benefiting thousands of educators. Collaborating with the Taiwan-Reyhanli Centre at the earthquake-affected Turkey-Syria border, ViewSonic equipped classrooms with ViewBoard interactive displays and created outdoor cinemas using laser projectors, providing much-needed educational and recreational opportunities for affected communities.

Beyond expanding access to quality education, ViewSonic made artistic, philanthropic, and cultural contributions in 2023. Its "4th ColorPro Awards: RISE" celebrated global artistic excellence with exhibitions in London, Ho Chi Minh City, and Taipei. Furthermore, ViewSonic supported charitable causes by matching and rounding up employees’ fundraising contributions, donating $30,000 to Make-A-Wish. The company also honoured India's 75th Year of Independence by donating special edition “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” monitors.
