ViewSonic Taiwan’s Daily “Learning Never Stops!” Livestream Exceeds 1 Million Views


To assist schools with remote teaching in Taiwan, ViewSonic Taiwan initiated the “Learning Never Stops!” livestream on ViewSonic Classroom on May 17. As of June 30, more than 50 live streams and online seminars have been broadcasted and reached more than 1 million views. The livestreams cover topics from online teaching courses for beginners to the sharing of practical teaching experience in various subjects. From July, ViewSonic launched the “Advancing Teaching in the New Normal” livestream, inviting professional lecturers to share information on hybrid teaching, and adding live-streaming courses in English to the program to assist foreign teachers with online teaching.

“The severity of the pandemic and sudden school closures have raised new challenges for teachers who are used to giving in-person classes.,” said James Chu, Chairman and CEO of ViewSonic. “Facing the trend of hybrid teaching, ViewSonic has worked closely with the educators to help them move forward. Through sharing the latest trends in educational technology and developing various types of live-streaming courses, we look forward to assisting more teachers to improve digital skills in various fields.”

50 Livestreams and Online Seminars
To address the challenge of Taiwan’s first-ever full-scale implementation of remote teaching, ViewSonic has launched the “Learning Never Stops!” livestream. All these livestreams are helping frontline teachers realize that combining existing resources with digital teaching tools can augment their teaching strategies and improve students’ motivation for online learning. As of June 30, more than 50 live streams and online seminars have been broadcasted and reached more than 1 million views.

During the period, ViewSonic’s myViewBoard has attracted approximately 1,000 schools to participate in the ecosystem, with around 100,000 teachers signed up, which is about one-third of all teachers in Taiwan. ViewSonic has invited teachers from different grade levels and subjects to share the various tools and teaching materials. For instance, Sheng-Ling Chang, a geography teacher at Taipei First Girls’ High School, presents a lively and intriguing online geography class and uses quizzes to interact with students for effective learning. Chen-Ching Yeh, a music teacher at Xinyi Elementary School in Taichung City, has adopted myViewBoard’s original content templates and materials to improve the efficiency of course preparation. She teaches musical notation with images and videos, and leverages Q&A modules.

“Advancing Teaching in the New Normal” Livestream in July
From July, ViewSonic launched the “Advancing Teaching in the New Normal” livestream to share the tools required for both in-person and distance teaching. These courses will help the teachers to develop hybrid teaching skills so they can easily conquer the challenges once schools reopen. Moreover, professional lecturers certified by ViewSonic conducted an online conference across Taiwan as well exchanging ideas on course design, teaching materials, and experiences amongst teachers.
